The story so far… 

With the publication of the 2nd edition of Building Top-Performing Teams (Kogan Page, 2025) and their contribution to Becoming a Team Coach: The Essential ICF Guide (Springer Nature, 2025), Lucy Widdowson MSc, MCC, ACTC (Programme Director) and Paul J Barbour MSc, PCC, ACTC, CBP (Programme Faculty) are honoured by the continued requests from individuals and companies worldwide to learn more about their approach to team coaching, using the ‘Creating the Team Edge’ framework, model, and diagnostic.

As a subject matter expert, Lucy was part of the team that created the ICF team coaching competencies and has contributed to the ICF team coaching specialty designation. Lucy led team coaching for the UK ICF and the team coaching working party. Paul is on the UK ICF team coaching working party.

  • To create genuine, safe spaces for you to practise and experiment, we maintain a high faculty-to-participant balance.
  • Using experienced actors, we do ‘live practice’ using your scenarios or case studies. Delegates love this unique aspect of previous programmes.
  • Practice contracting, designing and executing elements of a team coaching intervention.
  • Inspired by a research-based model, framework and approach, ‘Creating the Team Edge’.
  • While models are helpful, we vigorously promote the centrality of a team coach’s ‘way of being’, respecting your experience and celebrating an eclectic approach to team coaching.
  • 20 hours of online learning materials, including a copy of the book* (minimum of 5 hours to be completed as pre-work).
    *The book is available for attendees based in the UK and Ireland, with an e-book provided for those outside these regions.
  • A one-hour group mentoring session, post-programme, to support your work with teams.
  • Learn from practising team coaches with 50 years plus experience of working with teams
